Fantastic service and great food! We went as a party of 10 for a birthday meal. We were given the Green Room to use so my son could walk around without me having to stress where he was and so he didn't get too overwhelmed. Thank you so much!

I went here for dinner with a friend during a trip home for Christmas and it was magical! Beautiful inside with a cozy fire, attentive staff, and absolutely delicious food. The beer and cider was excellent, too, and the manager gifted me my pint glass because it had my hometown of Bristol pictured on it. Just a lovely place that I will definitely return to!

My brother and i came for lunch yesterday and knew that the pub was under new management. We were pleasantly welcomed and offered a table in the bar or restaurant: we chose the latter. There were three attentive staff members and the ambience was great. There was an excellent menu: my brother and i both had the scallop with black pudding starters then he had the Durban Beef Curry and i had Chicken & Bacon Caesar Salad. There was still room for desserts and coffee: my brother chose the New York Blondie and i had Cinnamon Apple Crumble and Custard. The food exceeded expectations and we'll certainly be going back again!

I had the genuine pleasure of visiting the Line Kiln this weekend and enjoying their outstanding food!
I went for the Beef roast with Garlic and Cheese Ciabatta bread on the side. This may have been the best beef I’ve ever had and I would recommend it to anyone!
The Ciabatta had a lovely, strong, garlic presence and was just fantastic!
The restaurant itself was busy but the tables were spaced enough that we weren’t crowded and the atmosphere was simply pleasant.
The staff were really friendly and always happy to help, but when asked for some extra spoons, they didn’t arrive and we had to ask again, but it was no huge matter.
I will definitely come back here again and would bring my family and friends for the roast and I implore you to do the same and enjoy an amazing meal!
Parking: There is a large car park located at the front of the pub.

I don't give 5 stars easily but I could not find a single thing to fault. Service was outstanding, food was delicious, atmosphere and ambience was superb.
Dined with 3 young children and one of the best menus for kids with a number of options - all 3 opted for pasta with hidden vegetable sauce. A mix of vegan and non- vegan in the group and everyone of us so impressed with the quality of the food. Vegan or non- vegan, you must try the plant based pie - yum! Dessert was biscoff donuts chosen from a wide variety of options with many having vegan alternatives.
From walking through the door to be met with a lovely log fire and smiling and welcoming faces behind the bar, to the care and attention throughout the meal, the standard of service was outstanding! Great touch with the Christmas crackers and mini chocolate eggs - a lasting impression and will be spreading the word.

Under new ownership as of December 2023, the new owner (Jason, I recall) was fantastic!
Exceptionally friendly, welcoming and attentive service. Food came out fairly quickly and to a super high standard. The pricing is good for the quality and quantity you get. I had a really good time and look forward to coming back soon!

Freezing inside, had to keep my coat in the entire time. Waited 50 minutes for our food to come out, in that time, no one offered us anymore drinks. Went to the bar 3 times before we managed to get some. No apology for massive wait for food. Food was okay, nothing special & not worth the fancy price. Chips with the burger tasted like frozen chips. Hardly any gravy with the fagots, only 1 carrot. Onion rings were greasy & actually, inedible. Pudding was okay, had the crumble, again, nothing special. Eventually managed to ask someone for the bill, which was brought to us, with the cheek of a tip added already! Felt rude asking to remove it but very much begrudge paying it. Wouldn’t recommend or re-visit. Very disappointing, as we attended for a special birthday & felt it was ruined.

Very average Sunday lunch - lacked seasoning all round & the red wine gravy was not!! Tasteless packet gravy mix is unacceptable in a restaurant. No horseradish sauce with our roast beef either. A good Sunday dinner is an easy ask of a good chef & kitchen. Nobody asked if we wanted more drinks or deserts.
Dogs allowed in bar & outside covered part of restaurant.
Need to book at weekend to ensure getting a table.
